About this job

Job Duties/Functions:
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Identify and successfully investigate matters of internal dishonesty
  • Control the unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability
  • Review and analyze store shrink performance; identify associate behaviors and/or operational issues through exception based reporting and CCTV that may cause shrink
  • Identify trends; make recommendations for improvement; teach, train and coach associates to effectively handle opportunities; monitor corrective action
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner
  • Monitor criminal cases, appear in court and testify as warranted
  • Follow up, support and resolve safety, environmental and regulatory issues as assigned by the Store Manager
  • Assist in supporting safety awareness and compliance in stores, including assistance with Workers' Compensation and General Liability claim process
  • Use data to identify trends that may lead to accidents and make recommendations for process changes or improvements
  • Assist with the development and retention of hourly Operations Support associates

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or in Criminal Justice from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of Five years’ experience in retail store loss prevention, including two years’ experience in loss prevention management or related management experience
  • National certified training program (Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training)
  • Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations
  • Experience in using physical security systems (CCTV, EAS, etc.)
  • Experience conducting quality reviews/audits
  • Current AHA First Aid/CPR/AED certification
