Warehouse Laborer

Job Summary: Maintains warehouse operations including inventory, equipment and appearance.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains general warehouse appearance including policing outside the building
• Maintains inventory numbers accurately throughout the month and in a manner to minimize loss
• Assists Terminal Manager by informing when products are low and disposing of damaged inventory safely as required
• Ability to communicate effectively and work safely around heavy equipment
• Maintains files for equipment maintenance records
• Provides general assistance in repair maintenance
• Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing surfaces
• Loads fertilizer shipments into trucks with front end loader
• Assists in loading trucks with dry and/or liquid fertilizer
• Assists in the offloading of railcars
• Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
• Reliable and regular attendance is expected

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent

 

Other Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and write
• Ability to drive a forklift and front end loader
