Your ability to choose from a number of compressed work schedules geared toward balancing work and family life:

3 and 4 day work week

12 hour rotating shift (either 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

2-2-3 12 hour rotating shift (either 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. This shift has every other weekend off.

Optimal 12 hour rotating shift (either 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) Schedule is Tuesday-Thursday day and every other Monday or Monday-Wednesday night and every other Thursday. This shift has every weekend off.

Other Shift Options

8 hour shift (either 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. or 11 p.m. - 7 a.m.), Mon – Fri. These shifts do not rotate.

12 hour weekend shift (either 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.), Fri, Sat, and Sun. This shift does not rotate and includes a $2.00 shift premium!

What does a Finishing Operator do?

Finishing Operators use state-of-the-art bindery equipment to finalize the completion of printed product in the printing process. Their work must be precise to meet tight deadlines.

The Finishing Operator plays a key role in the printing process. They set up and operate various programmable bindery equipment which may include 1-to-1 Ink Jet messaging, cutting, folding, scoring, stitching and binding, and gluing. They have autonomy to establish the most efficient way to run product for the highest quality in the safest manner. They observe and monitor machine operations to determine whether adjustments are needed. Adjustments are performed, along with basic maintenance and troubleshooting. The functions performed are the last touches needed to produce valuable pieces for the customers.

The role is physically demanding. The work is done while standing. The job will include the ability to bend and lift 10-15 pounds continuously, ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, perform repetitious tasks, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement. The ability to perform basic math calculations is vital as is the ability to follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects.

What do I need to qualify?

Previous machine operation experience. Previous finishing operator experience is desired. Will consider applicants that have a history of operating any complex manufacturing equipment.

On the job training is provided and all aspects of the job will be taught from the ground up.
