Providence is calling a Credentialed Medical Assistant to Providence Professional Plaza in Portland, OR. This position will have an opportunity to support within Internal Medicine working alongside Medical Residents and Faculty Providers.

In this position, you will:

* Work closely with a team of staff including physicians and advanced level providers to ensure the delivery of high quality patient care.

* Assist with exams and procedures, administer medications, and perform tests under the supervision of a licensed medical provider.

CMA, Certified Medical Assistant, C.M.A.

Required qualifications for this position include:

* High school diploma or equivalent

* Credentialing through a nationally recognized Medical Assistant program such as Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), or National Association for Healthcare Professionals (NAHP)

* If not currently credentialed, this position will require successfully obtaining Medical Assistant Certification within 60 days from date of hire

* Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA-BLS) for the Healthcare Provider

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

* Some college

* 6 months of recent experience working as a medical assistant
