JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible to deliver world-class customer service to all retail customers. He/She receives and processes packages for courier shipment, operates copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options. The Associate exhibits confidence by knowing best practices as related to the industry. The ideal Retail Sales Associate candidate will have retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma/GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, a professional appearance, and will be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position: -- Deliver outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries -- Continuously practice good listening skills with customers and UPS Store team members, and leadership -- Take ownership of the customer's shipping problem and offer viable solutions
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
* Should be available to work on two (2) or three opening shifts and two(2) or three (3) closing shifts (Morning shift: 8:30am-1:30pm or Afternoon shift: 12:30am-6:30pm)
(NOTE: This posting is NOT for UPS driver. We don't have night shift. This position is to work at The UPS Store (Retail location))
*Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high quality work
*Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Publisher
*Outstanding phone skills
*Neat, clean, and professional appearance
*High school diploma required
*Strong verbal/written skills, to include spelling and math
*Able to regularly lift up to 40 lbs to 50 lbs
*1 years of retail or customer service experience required
*Prompt, reliable, and responsible
*Ability to cross sell and up sell
*Willing/able to work a 25 to 35 hour-per-week schedule that spans Monday through Saturday
*Willing/able to work a very flexible part-time schedule that spans Monday through Saturday during seasonal peak periods
*Excellent packing skills
*Good communication and people skills
*Should be available to work on Saturdays from 9:00AM - 5:00PM
*Non-smoking environment
*Detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
*Ability to work and complete tasks independently in a quick turn environment
*Ability of meeting sales goals
*Valid unrestricted driver's license and motor vehicle insurance in this state
*Ability to manage workload and prioritize multiple tasks
*Fast to learn our product and service line
*Must follow company policies and procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs to 50 lbs; must be able to meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation
