About this job
Assist the Collection System Supervisor in all aspects of grinder pump repair and maintenance and service work of: sewer lines, grinder pumps, and identifying inflow and infiltration.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Work safely and point out safety hazards on job sites.
2. Repair and maintenance of grinder pumps, gravity sewer lines and repair or replacement of sewer mains, and discharge lines.
3. Assist with locating, identifying, and repairing the sanitary sewer system.
4. May at times operate backhoe and other attachments for backhoe.
5. Operate and do preventative maintenance on small equipment, grinder pumps, and hand tools.
6. Do simple maintenance (greasing) of the construction equipment.
7. Work with minimal supervision at times.
8. Assist with facility grounds maintenance as needed.

Job Requirements
HS Diploma or GED. 1 - 5 years previous experience in pipefitting; underground utility installation/construction and minor electrical work preferred. Small dump truck; skid steer loader; backhoe;
small engines, hand tools, and other wastewater related equipment experience a plus.
Additional Information
Outside in all weather conditions; dusty conditions; exposed to wastewater on a frequent basis. Ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance.
