Cargill Meat Solutions is seeking a Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Technician in our Springdale, AR Complex. The successful candidate will work in the production area of the plant, performing task to ensure products produced meet established food safety and quality parameters.

Principal Accountabilities

* 50% Complete Acceptable Quality Limit (AQL) checks for assigned area, perform pre-operational equipment inspection after sanitation, collect samples for microbiological analysis, inspect incoming and/or outbound product shipments, and/or verify food safety and quality paperwork (HACCP, SSOP, GMP, etc.).

* 25% Monitor assigned area for food safety and quality issues (employee hygiene, facility issues, potential contamination, food defense, etc.)

* 15% Communicate with FSQR and Operations Management

* 10% Place non-compliant product on hold/release product as needed

Required Qualifications

* FSQR Technicians work in a cold, wet production environment every day. The successful candidate will need to be able to lift product boxes when performing check. They need to be flexible to work weekends as needed.

* High school diploma or equivalent

* 6 months to a year of previous food or meat processing, or in a Quality Assurance position.

* Good written and verbal communication skills/fluent reading and writing skills in English

* Basic math skills

* Basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook

Preferred Qualifications

* 6 months of work history in the last year.

* Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Marshallese.

* Previous meat production, QA, laboratory, or other relevant experience.
