Staffmark's Professional Services Group is partnering with a local company in an effort to identify candidates for a Sr. HR Generalist opportunity that they have available. This is a direct hire position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
Knowledge of human resource and safety disciplines and of federal/state employment, benefit and safety laws
Ability to work with little supervision and to research, interpret, remain current and revise applicable employment, benefit and safety regulations;
Strong interpersonal skills; Sensitivity to other's needs/feelings; Takes objective position when fact finding
Ability to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations
Comfortable with high volume workload, not afraid to "roll up sleeves" and manage multiple priorities
Passion for innovative loss prevention solutions, process improvement, and ability to work with electronic surveillance and access management system
Strong work ethic, desire to achieve excellence and ability to work extended hours/off shifts as required
Excellent organization and oral/written communication skills; Ability to read, speak and understand English
Experience Requirements:
Generally requires minimum of seven (7) years in safety and/or risk management and human resources, or related experience with generally a minimum of three (3) years of experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related field.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, HR Management, Organizational Management, Safety or Loss Prevention or related field preferred, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc.). Experience with HRIS and ADP systems a plus; Ability to use fax, copier, computer, and other office-related equipment
