The client is helping the United States Coast Guard implement a forward-leaning analysis platform developed by IBM to support the diverse blend of military, humanitarian, and civilian law enforcement services they provide the nation. The developer will support the implementation of this technology, integrate and normalize data, and enable the country-wide team to maximize use of the platform moving forward. As IBM's software, Enterprise Insight Analysis (EIA) is new-to-market, this is an exciting opportunity to learn a cutting-edge system that is being used for real-world intelligence and investigative work. You will be actively doing the full-life cycle implementation of this system, from initial stand-up through testing and maintenance, so you have the opportunity to become a true expert on this relevant intelligence platform!

All work will be performed on-site in Washington, D.C.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of overall work/development experience
  • Strong background/experience with Java development
  • ETL experience necessary
  • Full Stack experience (front and back end programming)

Additional qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Oracle, SQL, and DB2 would be helpful
  • Experience with SOAP web services
  • Knowledge of LDAP / AD and SSL would be helpful
  • Translate system requirements from both formal and informal requirements into complex application interfaces or web services designs that effectively address interoperability with other applications
  • Be willing to learn the use of the newest technologies and techniques such as prototyping, component-based development, object-oriented design, Web services and architecture, COTS integration, middleware engineering or data warehousing
