We currently have an opportunity for a Quality/Manufacturing Engineer reporting to the COO. As the IAQG / Oasis Management Representative, you will be responsible for the continual development and oversight of our Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with AS9100, regulatory, and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate will also have experience in Manufacturing Engineering, and understand the planning and development of processes for thermoforming, composite bonding, light mechanical assembly and coating operations.

Key Indicators of Success
* Third party AS 9100 certification is maintained with a minimal amount of findings.
* Customer quality issues are successfully resolved in a timely manner.
* Internal quality issues are handled internally in a proactive manner.
* All personnel are knowledgeable in their role in support of the QMS and our drive for continual improvement
* The product realization process is supported through detailed production and inspection plans.
Job Responsibilities
Manage QMS to assure continued AS9100 certification and adherence to customer and regulatory requirements. Including:
* Prepare product inspection plans
* Conduct internal and 3rd party audits
* Manage calibration system
* Assure quality documentation and records are maintained and meet customer needs
* Approve suppliers, manage incoming inspections and lead supplier corrective action resolution
* Perform root cause analysis and manage internal corrective and preventative actions
* Prepare AS9102 First Article Reports
* Drive continual improvement

Manage production planning to assure production staff is properly equipped with the methods, training, tools and equipment necessary to meet the company's quality and production goals. Including:
* Review and evaluate product requests from customers for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, quality standards, and specifications. Formulate design to meet customer requirements and discuss proposal with customer representatives, engineers, and other personnel.
* Create shop travelers and work instructions for manufacturing operations
* Assist with design of tooling, fixtures and shop aids
* Coordinate technical aspects of sub-contract orders for tooling and outside processing
* Plan engineering methods for new products or projects. Set up part numbers, develop bills of material, routers, completes requisitions for purchased and vendor parts. Functions as the manufacturing project manager for all assigned areas and provides technical leadership to others as required.
* Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
* Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
* Establish manufacturing policies in the areas of CI/Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measurements.
