About this job

Client is looking for a 2nd shift supervisor

Candidate will be responsible for:
Supervising activities of production department in the production of automotive parts( Metal/ stamping)
Directing and coordinating activities associated with the production department.
Production scheduling
Training, supervising and leading 10+ employees in multiple skill sets ( machine operators,(Punch Press) general production)
JPH, jobs per hour
Inspect material for quality defects.
Material shortages
Supervise all plants safety rules and regulations.
Assist in training of new team members.
Fill in for other supervisors when required, due to vacation, off-site meetings and absenteeism.
Running daily production and safety meetings
Production scheduling and reporting Basic computer skills (E-mail, Excel, Word, SFIS, etc. Writing - Documented reviews, disciplinary actions, incident/injury reports, scrap reports and forklift inspection sheets, etc.
Document incident, disciplinary action, accident/injury reports and other related forms when needed.
Advanced understanding of all production positions.
Work/ communicate with other production supervisor and management to ensure production goals are being hit

Must Have:
Lead, Supervised and trained 10-15+ employees in heavy manufacturing environment (stamping) need to have knowledge of dies
Knowledge of production schedules
5 Plus years experience as a supervisor
They have to understand dies. They need to understand when burrs on a part are to big or how to adjust the ram to bring a dimension into tolerance, or when to reject raw material because its out of gauge, or reinforces with operators to make sure all the slugs are coming out from the bottom of the die so they don't bridge, when punches are dull and need to be sharpened.

Bilingual -Spanish
Will work with production and quality team to ensure all products are meeting customer specification ( punch press and production workers)
