Structural Drafter

I am looking to bring a motivated Structural Drafter onto my growing team! Anyone with Steel Drawing OR Structural CAD experience should apply with Austin at or 515-657-5476. Below are details to the position.

Pay: $17 an hour to start, plus quick growth and raises

Daily duties could include the following:

read reinforcing placing drawings.

detail/create bar lists that help the shop with straight bar and bent bar bundling.

Read and understand Architectural and Structural blueprints.

Coordinate with the internal Sales Staff and other detailers on designs.

Incorporate elevations, sections, plans, bending details, placing lists and material lists that can be easily read and interpreted by project customer, engineer or architect.

Prepare simple and routine to moderately complex placing plans of structural components using customer structural and architectural drawings and specifications.

Coordinate project-detailing activities with fabrication department personnel to insure on-time delivery to customer site locations in accordance with project delivery schedule and contract specifications.

Maintain project files, to include release logs, contract control codes, weights, and release numbers as well as the project submittal log containing drawing numbers, alpha codes and submittal dates. Backup and maintain computer files.

Must Haves:
Asa Microstation experience
Architectural or structural blueprint reading
Steel drawing experience or structural related (trusses, structures, steel erection, rebar)
