About this job
Operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory or similar location.
Working in the warehouse loading and unloading grain.
Must have computer skills and have previous forklift experience.
Must be able to work 12 hr. shifts - Supervisor will assign to shifts and hours.
--Operate forklift to place product in storage or to remove product from storage to prepare for shipment
--Proper product placement and stacking that is consistent with company's warehouse standards
--Physical appearance inspections for quality of product
--Use of technology (iPad) to accurately track/manage inventory.
--Accurate counting and identification of company products.
--Material handling of bags of seed corn (40 - 65 pounds each)
--Accurate order picking and physical preparation of product for customer delivery
--Accurate sorting and counting of product for customer delivery or returned seed
--Assist with repackaging of seed products
--Operation of facility equipment, such as forklifts, conveyor belts, hydraulic doors, dock locks, battery hoist, compressed air for cleaning equipment (Fall protection may be required for certain tasks).
--Other general labor items may be assigned such as facility cleanup or painting of fixtures.
