JobSummary: Supportsstore operations and Optical procurement inimplementing merchandising plans and programs
Essential Functions / ProcessResponsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned asnecessary
* Leads the Optical Merchandisingactivities for assigned group of stores including managing the work of a Merchandiseror Associate
* Develops and implements anOptician certification training program for store Partners
* Acts as a consultant to the groupof stores and BDM team regarding Merchandising programs, Optician process andpolicies
* Designs and recommends changes tocurrent Merchandising programs, Optical training programs, processes andpolicies
* Develops and deliverscommunication materials regarding Optical Merchandising programs and processes
* Works withManaged Vision Care to develop sustainable programs within the Optical business
* Works with Merchandise Planningand Analysis to review store product movement and profit margins to incorporateimprovements into merchandising plan
* Provides feedback to BDM on typeof item, quality, grades and brands for assigned stores to ensure anappropriate assortment to achieve sales and profit objectives and minimizeshrink in assigned stores
* Provides recommendation for shelfallocation and spacing programs, product promotions, and point-of-purchasedisplay programs
Preferred Educationand Experience
* Bachelor's Degree; preferred study areas of business, healthcareadministration or related field
* 5 yrs Optical customer service experience
* 3 years general business or contract-related experience preferred
* 3 years of Managed Care background with contract negotiation, toinclude terminology, terms & conditions
PreferredKey Competencies
* Ability to work with all levels of management
* Excellent time management,decision making and organizational skills with strict attention to detail
* Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills & Experience
* Experience with and capability toconfigure systems data within prescribed parameters
* Knowledge of laws and regulationsaffecting insurance products
* Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicarelaws and application process
* Excellent contract drafting andanalytical skills, written and verbal communication skills
Physicaland Other Requirements
* Function in a fast-paced, retail,office environment
* Travel by car or airplane withovernight stays
* Sit for an extended period of time
* Work extended hours
