BACKGROUND POSITION INFORMATION

Position Title: Maintenance Partsroom Clerk

Location: Perry Processing Plant

Department: Parts Room

Supervisors Title: Maintenance Planner Scheduler

Supervisor's Name: Matt Karros

Normal Work Schedule Note:

The hours and days of work are established as needed by operations and at the direction of management and, while generally as shown below, may be changed (increased or decreased) by management as required.

Hours of Work: Generally 6:30am to 6:30pm with rotating Days or as scheduled by management with two 30 minute breaks. Overtime may be scheduled as needed and directed by management.

Days of Works: Rotating Days and Holidays if needed by operations and approved by management.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The minimum Formal Education preferred to be considered for this position is (indicate level and years of education and, if a degree is required, the major):

Strong reading, math, writing, communication, analytical skills and basic mechanical aptitude required with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Computer kowledge/experience and college/tech school preferred.

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The overall purpose of this position, i.e., what it accomplishes at Perdue and/or why it exists is:

To service the Maintenance Department with parts, supplies, and information while maintaining accurate accounting and controls (issues, credits, receipts) of inventory and non-inventory goods for the efficient operation of both departments.

PRINCIPAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Describe below the four to six major responsibilities of this position, which must be fulfilled with or without reasonable accommodation in order to achieve the essential purpose of this position.

#1. Coordinate departmental paperwork flow insuring proper and accurate documentation for Receiving, Purchasing, Issues

and credits, physical inventories and report generation.

#2. Process/ purchase specified purchase requisitions for stock and non-stock items departmental operating procedures.

#3. Inventory control. Maintain accurate perpetual inventory system, computer record system and hard copy documentation

files.

#4. Coordinate the expediting of all open orders to insure accurate and timely deliveries.

#5. Organize and coordinate the daily operations of the Supply Room.

#6. Cross train and fill in as required for all other department position.

#7. Follow all company and government rules and regulations relating to safety, health and products as required by the plant,

department, OSHA and USDA.

#8. Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout

procedure and Process Safety Management related matters.

DECISION-MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES

Describe the decision-making authority of this position, the nature and extent of supervision available and the point at which higher approval is required.

Ability to make basic decisions based upon established guidelines and practices. Manager is available in the same location for all other decisions.

OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This position spends 0 % of a normal workweek supervising other associates.

This position spends 10 % of normal workweek training and developing other associates.

This position spends 20 % of a normal workweek performing technical analyses and writing reports.

This position spends 70 % of a normal workweek in production or maintenance-related activities.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The environment factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following:

Work environment includes a normal office environment as well as climate extremes found in processing operations. Must be able to lift and carry 70 lbs. Must be able to stand on concrete floor in a wet/humid & icy environments all day exposed to noise between 60 and 110 db with temperatures between 62 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit and light intensity between 30 to 100 ft. candles. Must be able to move through all plant areas. Be able to grasp and handle product cases, container and parts. Normal exposure to chemicals as listed in the Plant MSDS.
