Position Details

Promptly and efficiently serve beverage products to guests in an assigned station while displaying the highest standard of guest service in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service and Operations Standards.

Essential Functions:

Greet guests positively, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner

Engage guests in conversation and make their experience memorable

Serve beverage products in a friendly and efficient manner

Ensure proper identification and age of guests prior to serving alcoholic beverages

Serve alcohol responsibly; watch for signs of intoxication and follow proper procedures to discontinue service when necessary

Demonstrate skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the guest’s goodwill

Ensure proper stock of all product and supplies needed for service

Maintain knowledge of the Point of Sale System

Maintain current knowledge of product offerings and prices

Accurately complete all transactions (cash and non cash) and return accurate change to guests

Adhere to all revenue handling policies and procedures

Balance revenue drop to end of shift reports

Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates

Perform as a team member and assist fellow associates to ensure a smooth operation

Role model the GuestPath Universal Service Standards interacting positively through relationships with guests, coworkers, and supervisors displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for people’s needs

Understand the goals and vision of the organization, and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance

Prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Complete other duties as assigned 

Experience Required:

High school diploma or GED preferred

One to three months related experience preferred

Familiarity with standard drink recipes required

TiPS Certification

Must  be able to obtain and maintain a West Virginia Greyhound Racing License

Familiarity with types of liquors 

WV Food Handlers Card

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum of 21 years of age

Must posses an outgoing and friendly personality

Excellent guest service abilities

Basic math skills including addition and subtraction

Handle money transactions

Understand the goals and vision of the organization, and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift or carry 30 pounds 

Ability to stand or walk 100% of the time

Must be able to work at least 8 hours

Must be able to push a cart with 20 pounds on it 

Environmental Working Conditions:

Exposure to secondhand smoke

Exposure to high volume noise
