Guestroom Attendant (Housekeeping)- John Muir Lodge 2017 - Full-time / Part-time

Located next to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon Park is composed of two distinct areas – Grant Grove (home to the General Grant tree, also known as "the Nation's Christmas Tree") and Cedar Grove. Grant Grove visitors snap photos and marvel at the sheer size of the sequoia grove.  Kings Canyon is also home to Redwood Canyon, the largest remaining grove of sequoia trees in the world.  

• Follow all Delaware North Parks and Resorts Environmental GreenPath, GuestPath, OSS, SERV, Code of Conduct, Core Values, Policies and Procedures and NPS Guidelines.

  Turn in all Lost & Found Items to the Front Desk that are found in guest rooms and other locations. Make sure items are logged.
  •
  Thoroughly clean all rooms and restrooms, including changing bedding, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning under the bed, under and behind furniture, window sills, shower curtains, toilet bowl, dishes, lamp fixtures, gather and emptying the trash. Make sure all sanitation guidelines are met.
  •
  Clean all building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  •
  Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees.
  •
  Dust walls, machines, and equipment in vending rooms.
  •
  Steam clean or shampoo guest room carpets if needed.
  •
  Ensure all work areas ae neat, clean and organized.
  •
  Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors
  and fixtures.
  •
  Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
  •
  Deliver items to guest rooms such as coffee, cribs, rollaway beds, hair dryers, etc. Assist Guest as needed.
  •
  Stock supplies in housekeeping closet such as coffee, shampoo, toilet paper, robes, linens, etc. Maintain cleanliness of closet by removing empty boxes and trash. Keep floor clean and shelves organized.
  •
  Assist in control of the linen counts. Assist in collecting linen on delivery days.
  •
  Maintain a daily check in and stay over report. Check out and in assigned keys on a daily basis.
  •
  Report any Maintenance issues when found anywhere to your Manager or Supervisor.
  •
  Must be capable of completing a minimum of 12 rooms per 8 hour shift.
  •
  All other duties assigned by Managers and Supervisors.

• Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure.
• Must be able to follow direction and instructions.
• Service and safety oriented.
• Previous experience in a position requiring customer interaction preferred.
