Machine Attendant - Full-time / Part-time

The primary duty of the machine attendant is to oversee blow-molding machine that automatically forms plastic containers. Their role will be to make sure the machine is operating correctly based on the product at raw material through finished product stage. Attendants will correct any malfunctions, notify maintenance of issues, keep logs associated with production, adjust controls of the machine as needed, and inspect the finished product for defects. BWAYs product is used in the food industry, so quality specifications are very important, because of the fluid that the containers will be holding. OTHER DUTIES:--Starting and stopping the machine when changes are needed--Perform initial set up on machines to make sure resin (type of plastic), mold insert, and tag inserts are correct for the next run.--Take corrective action when needed while observing the machine and inspecting product--Record data related to scrap, downtime, reject percentage, regrind percentage (how much of the product is wrong, and needs to be recycled), cycle time, etc. Shifts:1st 7am- 7pm 2/2/3 Rotating#rd 7pm- 7am 2/2/3 Rotating Pay periods fall so that 36hrs one week and 48 the next on paychecks alternating.
