Laurels Peak Rehabilitation Center is seeking a full-time temporary laundry aide. This position would start November 1st and last for 3 months.
Maintains the laundry equipment and work area and performs general laundry duties according to established rules, policies and procedures.
Duties:
Sort linens; wears protective clothing and gloves as directed per policy; treat stained linens and repair if necessary; transfer linens from washers to dryers; folds clean linens; hangs and sorts personal clothing; stacks linens according to departments; puts linens on carts and distributes; reports linen needs
Qualifications:
Some laundry experience is desirable, but not necessary. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able and willing to work with other staff, accept instruction from supervisors and communicate appropriately with residents, visitors and staff. Must qualify for employment, after criminal background check, per guidelines of the Minnesota Department of Human Services.
