Description: Qualifications:
  • 5+ years Traffic experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
  • B. A/B. S degree or a formal export/logistics certification in lieu of a full degree is a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience Certificate
  • Preparation of Dangerous Goods for Air Transport (IATA) (preferred) Certificate
  • Department of Transportation (DOT)
  • Preparation of Dangerous Goods for Transport (preferred)
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experienced in the application of airfreight logistics for perishable freight
  • Proficient in managing Federal Express and UPS Shipping Systems including dangerous goods shipping guidelines
  • Demonstrated experience in international freight logistics
  • Ability to effectively analyze and determine if supplied freight routing information results in the most cost effective, and direct arrival to final destination, for both single and consolidated shipments
  • Solid understanding of Export Administration Regu
Summary of Position:
  • The Traffic Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the movement of domestic and international Company freight from established routing guides and customer instructions.
  • They are responsible for completing freight Air Way Bills, and providing shipment status/freight tracking information to support customer on-time shipping requirements.
  • They classify and prepare documentation to insure all outbound shipments meet the requirements of international dangerous goods regulations and U. S. export control regulations.
