JOB SUMMARY

Licensed fixed wing pilot who is assigned and oriented to the Air Med flight team. The pilot is responsible for flying fixed wing flight missions requested by Sanford. Fixed wing pilots must comply with applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations. Must be an experienced pilot. The pilot is directly responsible for all operations pertaining to the safe efficient conduct of the flight from initial dispatch until termination of the flight. Must have a good working knowledge of the company Operations Manual, Federal Aviation Regulations, Operations Specifications, Aircraft Flight Manual, and any other requirements pertinent to specific flights. Must demonstrate interdisciplinary skills when working with team members. Must have effective critical thinking skills to problem solve and immediately respond to changing environments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As a pilot at Sanford you are a part of a two person crew flying a King Air 200. You will be a part of a team that is passionate and professional and strives to safely deliver out patients in a timely manner. The shifts are 12 hour shifts and are mainly a 5on/5off, 4on/4off schedule. There is company paid housing at the base available for your shifts. You are eligible for additional pay to cover the cost of commuting.

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a current commercial certificate with an instrument rating which will be tracked and verified by AirMed Director of Operations. Must have completed training and possess at least a Commercial Certificate (FAA) with a Multi-Engine Land and an Instrument rating. Must possess a least a current second class medical certificate and be current in commercial, instrument, and multi-engine flying. The pilot must have successfully completed an approved training program and passed an FAA Part 135 check ride before flying as Pilot In Command on patient missions. 1) Minimum of 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours. 2) Minimum of 500 multi-engine hours, with turbine time desired. Must possess an Airline Pilot license with Multi-Engine an Instrument rating.
