The Purchasing Agent is an essential part of our client’s organization, ensuring that the right quality and quantity of materials and equipment are appropriately selected, purchased, and delivered in a timely manner, at an optimal cost to the job site.
The Purchasing Agent is instrumental in supporting the financial goals and each project through strategic purchasing. The Purchasing Agent’s success is dependent upon the ability to negotiate and build constructive relationships with a variety of customers; internally and externally.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related role
- Construction knowledge (mechanicals, drywall, cladding, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
