The Opportunity

As a Business Development Manager at Headway, your salesmanship and assertive personality will enable you to identify and engage targeted B2B prospects. Our Business Development Managers are competitive, energetic performers who thrive in high-stakes conversations – and they can sell. This is a great opportunity for those with some inside sales experience who are looking for a new role and want their efforts to make a visible impact on the sales organization. This position will be a part of our corporate office which is located in downtown Raleigh, NC.

You’re ready for this opportunity if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • You’ve worked for 1+ years in a B2B sales environment.
  • Must be able to develop a rapport with new clients, and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship.
  • You’re used to making a high number of cold calls to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  • You’re a Microsoft Outlook wiz and enjoy crafting well-written e-mails that capture a buyer’s attention.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.
  • You thrive on embracing a ‘no’ and turning it into a ‘yes’. Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion.
  • You’re motivated by challenging goals and are always striving to be the top performer
  • You’re ready to grow professionally and make a lasting, visible impact on a great organization

It’s a plus if you:

  • Have knowledge of the staffing, retail, and/or manufacturing/light industrial industries
  • Have experience utilizing Salesforce or a comparable CRM tool
