Medical Customer Service
- Will be taking 80 - 110 inbound customer service calls a day
- Majority of calls are from people to set up appointments with doctors
- Patients will also call for referrals to other doctors
- They will call to transfer medical records from different doctor's offices
- Look up doctor's schedules online to schedule appointments
- Using dual monitors and head sets
- Sometimes doctors or other health care professionals can call in so these reps need to be very professional
- They will be doing a lot of data entry and using their system
- They will have to send messages via email and their internal messaging system
- They need to prioritize their duties
Training
- 4 weeks of extensive training in the class room. Training will be from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. This will go over their software and terminology. They will be taught how to do aspects of the job and the trainees will have to teach back each thing 3 times.
After Training:
- They will get their schedules. They will start their day between 8:30 AM and Noon and work a 8 hour shift
- For their shift they will work 4 days (Mon - Friday) and have to work one weekend day (either Saturday or Sunday NOT both days)
- $13/hr with a raise when perm (raise will be determined by Advocate and based on experience - usually a dollar or two, but no guarantee on what it will be)
