About this job

Are you ready to join an organization where you can make an extraordinary impact every day? Imagine all Americans enjoying ideal cardiovascular health free of heart disease and stroke.

At the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, we get to work toward that goal every day. Is it easy? No. Is it worthwhile? Absolutely.

The American Heart Association (AHA) has an excellent opportunity for a part-time temporary Youth Market Coordinator in the SouthWest Affiliate for the Central Denver area. This is a 15-20 hour per week opportunity with the specific number of hours to be determined upon hire. Selected candidates must have a flexible schedule for school presentations at any possible time. This position will start in early January 2018, and end in late March 2018 (final end date is at the discretion of AHA management). The successful candidate for this role will be energetic, outgoing and must love to speak in front of an audience. We will train the selected candidates on how to deliver the AHA message to schools that are not currently receiving this message from our staff. This position will be expected to use their own laptop to give AHA presentations, perform order pickups and order entries as needed, while driving to schools in a large territory. This is a non-benefit position.

Want to help get your resume to the top? Take a look at the experience we require:

* Must have at least 2 years of related work experience. High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree not required but is a plus.

* Ability to work in fast-paced, high volume work environment.* Flexible daily schedule needed for presentations at schools.

* Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

* Strong attention to detail.* Must have the ability to travel (drive) up to 75% of the time within the assigned area.

* Some knowledge or experience with elementary schools preferred but not essential.

Attracting talented, committed employees means offering a competitive benefits package, ongoing professional development and training, and a diverse and inclusive environment in which to work and grow. And we do.

So, are you ready to work for the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to fighting heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases?
