Job DescriptionThe Quality Technician is responsible for maintaining quality-assurance processes, testing products and recording and analyzing results data during product development and manufacturing.
  • Under minimal supervision, this position will perform a variety of visual and dimensional inspection of machined metal parts and completed assemblies to determine precise conformance to specifications, tolerances and workmanship standards.
  • Performs in-process audits and or internal audits and participates in the validation of inspection fixtures and methods and process reports through change control process.
  • Reads and interprets Blue Prints and Technical Specifications for mechanical and electrical assemblies.
  • Inspects parts involving numerous precision tolerance dimensions, coordinated dimensions, irregular surfaces and contours which must be inspected by precision measuring instruments from surface plate set ups where no inspection jigs or fixtures are available.
  • Supports manufacturing shop engineers, managers, and operators with customer and supplier issues.
  • Calibrates and maintains all gauges and test machines and performs routine testing to ensure quality and adherence to regulations and standards.
  • Leads safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations Education/Qualifications/Training
    • High School Diploma or Equivalency
    • Quality Certification Preferred
    • 3 - 5 years of prior experience in quality inspection required
    • 3 - 5 years working in manufacturing within a team
    • Strong attention to detail, communication and analytical skills
    • Basic to Intermediate computer skills
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
