Indiana Lubricants Group Job Description Job Title: Lube Tech Reports To: General Manager Job Purpose: To perform automotive services and other activities associated with the service center in an accurate and timely manner and according to company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities: 1. Execution and reinforcement of guest mantra - Fast, Trustworthy and Knowledgable: Everytime - Everywhere. 2. Demonstrate good guest service skills. 3. Maintain certification in Courtesy and either Upper Bay, Lower Bay or Guest Service Advisor positions, including any required ancillary certifications, at a minimum. 4. Perform upper bay, lower bay, and courtesy tech duties according to J Team Service Standards (JTSS). 5. Input guest information properly in the POS system. 6. Perform vehicle inspection in accordance to company policies and procedures (Report on Conditions). 7. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper PPE, setting an example for others. 8. Meet JTSS standards with no quality defects. 9. Execute the JTSS call and response system properly. 10. Support professional image and trust; show respect for guest vehicles (use seat covers, floor mats, etc., when required). 11. Effectively maintain the service center image to achieve the desired guest experience. 12. Contribute to achieving mystery shop and CSS score goals. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: 1. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. 2. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 3. Ability to speak effectively with guests and fellow associates. 4. Ability to perform math calculations. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; stretch or reach with hands or arms; work in awkward positions; transfer oneself from one work level to another; and move materials from one height to another. It is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
