JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Under the direction of the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Associate II (Material Handler) receives, stores, pulls, ships and distributes materials following established department procedures utilizing a ride on pallet jack and sit down forklift. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Must be able to operate a ride on pallet jack or fork truck. * Move materials by hand or manual pallet jack. * Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards * Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station for the shipping department * Quality control of daily fulfillment orders * Properly prepare small package shipments for shipping * Ship small packages utilizing shipping software * Prepare fulfillment orders for LTL shipments * Distribute department transfers * Isle Maintenance fronting and consolidating products, removing empty boxes and pallets * Cycle Counts physical counting of all items in assigned isle(s) * Verify and sign for all deliveries into the facility * Verify and distribute paper shipments to the appropriate departments * Verification of products accurate receiving counts and documentation preparation * Putting products away in the warehouse following department processes * Accurate Data Collection * Read and understand the Job Work Order for instructions and specifications specific to the manufacturing of a job. Produce all jobs according to the specifications and instructions within the Work Order. * Complete production time keeping records (Data Collection) via Printstream inclusive of logging time against the proper activity codes, quantity produced, and materials where applicable. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: * Distribution shipping * LTL and TL preparation * Local delivery shipment preparation SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: * All associates share in the responsibility to maintain a safe, productive and respectful workplace. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Forklift certification and/or ride along pallet jack certification LANGUAGE SKILLS: Requires the ability to read and interpret documents such as Job Work Orders, Safety rules, operating SOP s and policy manual/s. Requires the ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence. Requires the ability to communicate effectively with vendors and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in various situations. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Requires the ability to operate forklift and other manual lift equipment * Requires basic computer skills * Demonstrate proficiency in the use of Printstream Data Collection and displays consistency and accuracy in meeting Data Collection requirements specified by the Company. * Possess and demonstrate ability to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors, be quality conscious, detail oriented, reliable and a team player.
