Financial Analyst - Regulatory and Analytical Reporting

Job Description:

GSO is one of the world s largest credit-oriented alternative asset managers, with a focus on delivering superior risk-adjusted returns and capital preservation for our clients. The GSO regulatory reporting team is a new team within the firm and will have the following responsibilities.

The successful candidate s responsibilities will include:

• Preparing materials for GSO SEC reporting; Form PF, AIFMD and other regulatory requests
• Ensuring all filings are completed within the prescribed deadlines
• Working with Accounting, Risk, Technology, Legal and Operations teams as well as a 3rd party service provider to complete and review filings across GSO, ensuring accuracy and developing best practices
• Working with Technology team to develop automated and streamlined workflows
• Researching and documenting any developing and ongoing regulatory and compliance changes within the alternative investment industry
• Delivering reports that display an understanding of GSO s complex investment process, markets invested in, financial instruments used and reporting processes
• Exploring additional opportunities to take on non-regulatory reporting and help build out and develop firm wide analytics and analysis tools
• Developing reporting tools for profit and loss, IRR and multiple calculations
• Calculating and tracking fund level IRR and MOIC returns on a gross and net basis
  • GIPS Return reporting
  • Calculate 1,3,5 year returns metrics
  • Levered and unlevered returns
  • Calculate asset-level returns
  • Calculate total returns and P&L attribution
• Benchmark tracking for both private equity and hedge fund comparisons

Qualifications:
