About this job
Candidates are welcomed to be from outside of the financial industry as well as inside the industry. My client is looking for 6 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
This is more a mid level engineer, which means the type of work is decommissioning work as they exit the data center and transition into the cloud. Needs someone who has done network engineering or operations for the past 6 years, not building or designing, just removing. Needs to be familiar with the platform, layer 2 spanning tree, no operations or engineering, it's specifically decommission the data center. They must have prior experience in implementation and support, they do not need prior decommissioning experience.

1) Strong background in switch platforms and router platforms, must know iOS, nexus OS, data center type technology, logging in being about to check router status
2) very familiar with routing protocols - OSPF and IGP
3) spanning tree layers 1-3
- 6 years of experience as a Network Engineer
- 6 years of experience with Cisco Routers and Switches
- Experience with Spanning Tree
- Previous experience in a large enterprise network
- Willingness to work flexible hours, non-business hours as required by the project.
- Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic high-pressure environment
Preferred Qualifications :
- CCNP certification or equivalent experience (6 years)
