BUGS Early Childhood Education Center is hiring for a full time Cook in our learning center!
The hours for this position is 6:30 am - 3:30 pm Monday thru Friday.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
•Prepare meals and snacks daily that are well balanced, healthy and delicious for our children
•Create weekly menus and manage inventory needs for upcoming menus
•Deliver meals and snack to the classrooms for each age group
•Communicate effectively with teachers, staff and parents in regards to special dietary needs for children
•Participate in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen space, including washing dishes after meals/snacks
•Present a professional demeanor
•Weekly cleaning duties are required
Qualifications:
•A passion for cooking and having fun in the kitchen
•Positive attitude with a strong work ethic
•Self-motivated with a desire to be creative with menus and meal preparations
•Meet the requirements set by the Kansas State child care regulatory agency for the position of a cook.
•Non-smoker
