Truck Driver

The Truck Driver is responsible for providing unfailing support to Sales and Operations by assuring that the Distribution Centers always have the merchandise to support the Company’s ability to meet or exceed our customers’ needs.

Position Details:

Home DAILY – Out and back to enjoy home time and stability.

Consistent daily runs, with assigned truck.

No-Touch freight, unless exceptional freight is encountered.

Shift and Schedule

This is a unionized facility so shift assignments are based on seniority as well as the business needs. This is a full time permanent position working on 2nd shift. 2nd shift hours are from 4:30pm until the work is finished. You must be open to overtime and weekends based on seniority

Position Responsibilities
  1. Perform daily vehicle inspection, address any concerns immediately, operate vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, and maintain immediate and open communication regarding road hazards, etc.
  2. Operate vehicle in the delivery of full Dr Pepper Snapple Group brands and picks up empty product transport containers or pallets in assigned warehouses.
  3. Maintain DOT time log and other required transport documentation.
  4. Transport the right merchandise to the right place at the right time in the most cost effective and safe manner.
  5. Exhibit thorough communication with the dispatch team and Transport manager.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and driver’s license
