WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Based in Johns Creek (Metro Atlanta Area), the Macy’s Tech Summer Internship Program is designed to provide you with an opportunity to apply what you’ve learned in school in a real-world setting and explore a potential career within our organization. Over 10 weeks, you’ll be assigned clearly defined projects, as well as be paired with a mentor in your department who will coach you as you execute on your deliverables and navigate a corporate environment.

In addition to supporting your respective team, you’ll work alongside your fellow interns on a cross-functional group project. Sponsored by senior leadership, this project will help to solve a critical business need and give you exposure to our innovation landscape. You’ll get additional exposure to our senior leaders through our weekly Executive Speaker Series.

In summer 2018, we have internship opportunities across all areas of our organization, including:
  • SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
    • Full-Stack Development
    • Data Science & Predictive Analytics
    • Mobile Infrastructure & Back-End Development
    • Enterprise Retail Operations, including:
      • Inventory Management
      • WMS Optimization
      • Fulfillment Systems
  • SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
    • Internal Systems Automation
    • Big Data & Data as a Service
    • Database Development & Optimization
    • Cloud & Ecommerce Back-End Development
    • Mobile Networking

HOW TO JOIN:

We’re accepting applications now through spring 2018. All hiring decisions will be made by May 2018.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, or related field
  • Knowledge of programming languages (Java preferred), operating systems, and data processing
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle
  • Current undergraduate student with sophomor or junior standing, or who has one semester/quarter left to complete after the program
  • Leadership experience, including strong communication skills and an aptitude for working in a team setting
  • Interest or experience in eCommerce and/or retail
