As a member of the Product Sales & Services team you will be expected to deliver outstanding guest service and provide quality information regarding all Park City Mountain products. You will facilitate sales and reservations for class and private lessons and proactively fulfill registration packets for all arriving class lesson guests. In addition, you will be responsible for selling lift tickets and season passes as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide service to ensure a world class experience for our guests
  • Make suitable product recommendations to meet guest needs and business objectives
  • Accurately and efficiently process ski school lesson and lift access products while capturing guest information
  • Must be able to interact with and engage the guest while working on point-of-sale computer and data base access
  • Perform daily sales and closing procedures and be held responsible for end-of-day cash and receipts
  • Handle high volumes of customer interaction while delivering exceptional service
  • Communicate professionally with both internal and external guests
  • Assist and follow through with resolution of guest complaints, concerns and suggestions
  • Ability to learn, understand and effectively communicate with the guest about multiple product types and easily adapt to changing pricing and product offerings
  • Participate in resort and departmental trainings and development courses as required
  • Take initiative to perform duties which facilitate operations and maintain cleanliness of work area while paying attention to detail
  • Contribute to a fun and professional work environment
  • Promote and embrace Vail Resort’s Mission and Values, strategies, policies and procedures; provide a safe work environment; and perform and contribute to PSS department Key Performance Indicators
  • Maintain professional appearance and attendance record that reflect the company standards
  • Perform other duties as appropriate



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College Degree preferred

Work Experience:

  • Prior customer service experience and strong cash handling experience preferred

Computer Skills:          

  • Proficient on Microsoft applications with above average typing skills and a high degree of accuracy and efficiency
  • Capability to learn new Point of Sales systems and Data Base access
  • Prior experience with Vail Resorts RPOS software preferred

Language(s) Skill:  

  • Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English
  • Experienced and/or conversational in a foreign language – Spanish preferred


  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be able to sit, stand or move for long periods or of time
  • Passionate about guest service and the hospitality/ski and snowboard industry
  • Comfortable requesting guest information during every transaction
  • Possess strong organizational, time management and teamwork skills
  • Ability to develop a quick rapport with internal and external guests
  • Ability to stay calm and perform well in busy and stressful situations
  • Willing and able to work the entire season; dates to be determined by manager; typically beginning of November to end of April
  • Flexible with work schedule; available weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings
  • Punctual and ready to work by the start of scheduled shift


  • Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, mornings and evenings; commit to the entire season early November through mid-April
  • Holiday periods: December 16, 2017-January 2, 2018; January 12-15, 2018; February 16-25, 2018. Team members are expected to be available for work Dec 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan 1.
  • Fulltime hours:  4 - 5 days per week; 32 - 40 hours per week; shifts begin at 7:30 AM
  • Part-time hours:  3 days per week; 20 - 30 hours per week; shifts begin at 7:30 AM
