We are looking for nurses to join our inpatient med/surg/tele unit! This is a brand new unit located in our Capitol Hill campus of Kaiser Permanente in Seattle.

Schedule is set and includes weekends/holidays from 7:00AM - 7:30PM and 7:30PM -- 7:00 AM. The schedule is also sent out two weeks in advance of the month. If desired, you have the possibility of picking up extra shifts throughout each month.

Candidates will need at least two years minimum of medical/surgical and tele care experience in an inpatient hospital setting, familiarity with electronic medical charting preferably Epic, and the ability to help provide an excellent patient experience.

The Nurse will:

* Provide and be responsible for overall nursing care to the patient.

* Analyze, evaluate and perform tasks and duties to provide safe and quality care to medical, surgical and telemetry patients.

* Work collaboratively with other disciplines such as physicians, dieticians, OT/PT. etc to meet patient care needs

* Do care plan assessments and evaluations on patients.

* Supervise and delegate tasks to hucs, techs, etc as appropriate.

* Use EMR to obtain and transmit information.

* Be proficient in reading telemetry monitor and rhythm strips.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum Education Requirements.

Graduate of an accredited RN program and a Registered nurse in the State of WA.

Preferred Education:

Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Knowledge/Skills

Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements

Knowledge and skills listed on the Kaiser Permanente Registered Nurse Competencies/Skills Inventory.

Experience

Minimum Experience

2 years experience in a medical/ surgical telemetry inpatient unit in a hospital.

License/Certifications

Minimum License/Certifications Requirements

At time of hire valid WA RN license; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Able to obtain shortly after hire Current or must obtain within 90 days of hire Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
