A recognized hospice care provider located in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a driven and dynamic Registered Nurse (RN) for a promising opportunity on their staff as their new Regional Manager. In this role, the Regional Manager will be responsible, as the leader/manager of all regional staff including the regional Interdisciplinary Teams (IDT), for the implementation, delivery, coordination and clinical and administrative supervision of all hospice services delivered by respective regional team and regional IDT's consistent with the facility's policies and procedures. Job DescriptionThe Regional Manager (RN):
- Reviews and revises the patient/family care plan
- Serves as a member of the clinical management team
- Supervises the maintenance of medical records assuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with regulations, legal and ethical standards
- Collects and reviews pertinent clinical data at team meetings
- Submits Plans of Correction to Administrator and Clinical Director when required by audit results and/or patient family satisfaction surveys
- Conduct supervisory visits to allow for observation for performance of all team members
- Maintains accounts by developing relationships, maintaining a presence and providing education
- Provides the number of customer in-services to each contracted facility required by law, and provides appropriate supporting documentation
- Arranges team coverage for on-call and staff time off
- Provides leadership and counsel to regional personnel to enhance staff development
- Meets budgeted Average Daily Census and Admissions goals
- Meets referral conversion goals as set by State Administrator
- Active New Jersey State Registered Nurse license
- Prior hospice and management experience
- Knowledge of the Bergen and Essex county areas of New Jersey
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven leadership abilities
