The Division Pharmacy Manager oversees the operations of their assigned pharmacies which include areas in Oregon. They help develop and implement sound practices, foster legendary customer service and assist store management and district sales managers to achieve sales goals and a continuing profit position for the temporarily assigned areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Formulate goals, objectives and marketing plans and programs for the respective departments

  • Create and maintain an environment which promotes legendary customer service through standardized training and personalized coaching

  • Maintain well-staffed pharmacies and performing effective recruiting and development of an applicant pool to ensure needed coverage for all locations within assigned area

  • Visit stores on a regular basis to monitor conditions and compliance as well as assist with local issues

  • Work with and counsel respective store management in all aspects of product merchandising for increased sales and profits

  • Develop positive working relationships with vendors, distribution personnel and retail personnel to assure good store level service

  • Prepare for and attend any necessary meetings or events to ensure favorable results and relationships

  • Travel requirements vary depending on geographic area


Requirements:
  • Degree in Pharmacy field, with necessary higher continuing education to maintain Pharmacy license.

  • Previous work as pharmacist or related field preferred. Possess extensive and specialized knowledge of assigned product lines with previous experience in merchandising or retail grocery/drug operations required.

  • Possess ability to maintain formal and informal channels of upward communications; encourage the expression of new ideas, suggestions, and complaints; review them for appropriateness and further action.

  • Possess the ability to motivate and work with and through others to achieve desired results.

  • Possess good communications skills, both oral and written. Deal effectively with a wide variety of people both in person and over the telephone.

  • Possess the ability to readily and positively adapt to changes in schedule and work priorities as the business and customer needs demand
