Home Instead Senior Care Louisville - East and Oldham County offers many different types of in-home senior care that can be individualized to meet the needs of our clients. Training Specialist (Part-time Evenings, Weekends)
Home Instead Senior Care is seeking an experienced R.N or L.P.N with a background in training to deliver a variety of training programs to our employees. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, willing to keep the caregivers engaged and think outside of the box!
The Training Specialist will play a pivotal role at Home Instead. You must be flexible with schedule to include day/evening hours and 2-3 weekend days per month.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Deliver training in a concise and effective manner to current and new Caregivers
- Utilize the standard Home Instead Senior Care trainings as well as develop specialized trainings and modify as needed.
- Preparation of the class, including the printing of presentation materials, scheduling and confirmation of participants.
- Update our database to reflect any training(s) conducted.
- Exercise professionalism and efficient execution of all the duties and responsibilities of a trainer in keeping the employees’ skills proficient to keep our clients’ safe and Home Instead Senior Care’s reputation outstanding in its field.
- Provide one-on-one training with a CAREGiver in a client’s home, if necessary.
Skills and Experience:
- RN or LPN Degree in good standing
- Comfortable speaking to large groups
- Previous experience delivering training materials and lesson plans
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in healthcare environment with seniors, seniors with dementia and/or hospice care.
- Strong facilitation/speaking skills in group setting.
- Experience delivering training material and lesson plans
