Job DescriptionKelly Services is seeking motivated individuals with outstanding mechanical skills in the Michigan City Indiana area. Position: Heavy Equipment Assembler Shift: 1st Shift Pay rate: $14.00 per hour To Apply: Call Kelly Services at 219-872-1435 Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for assembling critical product and ensuring it is in accordance with company policy. Kelly Services is seeking individuals with a depth of experience in heavy mechanical assembly, including electrical wiring of heavy equipment. Primary Duties for this position: - Required to assemble a variety of stationary large mechanical units per work instructions.- Ability to read piping and instrumentation instructions, wiring diagrams, and assembly diagrams- Assemble, frames, couplings on engines/motors and air ends. Separator tanks, mounted or remote cooler packs- Assembler and insulate enclosures and install on machines per work instructions. - Measure, cut, bend and fit small tubing to machine- Wire machines, terminating wire harnesses or basic wiring per wiring diagram - Terminate wiring for controls, basic panels, fan motors per wiring diagram- Test electrical controls/components on line prior test per work instructions and wiring diagram.- Ability to use calipers, dial indicators, and straight edge. Basic Qualifications- Mechanical assembly ability, ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams/drawings- Proven experience working with electrical components- Ability to operate an overhead crane/hoist- Working with pneumatic and hand tools, as well as measuring tools.
