- Must be able to work 2nd or 3rd shift
- 12 hour shift and weekends
- Temp to hire
Help and assist press personnel operate and maintain rotogravure printing press. Clean work area, load paper onto press, unload paper and other support tasks.
Essential Functions and Duties
Able to work 12-hour shifts,
Clean work area.
Dispose of trash.
Keep machine safe for all team members.
Keep all virgin ink tote tanks full.
Always assist operator and Assistant Operator II when starting machine.
Assist Assistant Operator II with loading and unloading rewind and unwind rolls. Make sure rolls are labeled properly.
Assist webbing the machine during web breaks.
Label and remove waste (resin and ink) and reusable ink.
Check and record viscosity at least every hour.
Assist operator and Assistant Operator II with producing a quality product (check rollouts, one-piece samples, and watch the viewing area).
Assist during make-readies (set up next job before finishing current job).
Assist Assistant Operator II with pulling samples. Make sure samples are labeled properly and stored in the correct location.
Communicate with other personnel
Learn to check register
Verify all maintenance issues are documented using red tag system.
Learn to set up register control and defect detection systems when time permits.
Fill in for the Assistant Operator II during their absence.
Work mandatory overtime.
Tissue department specific:
***Mix resin using combination given by the operator***
***Monitor resin usage to avoid waste

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to follow safety rules.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, solid work history.
