About this job
Automation Personnel Services is seeking a 1st shift Mechanical Repair Technician for a company located in Chattanooga, TN.
Pay Rate: $14 - $18 per hour depending on experience
Shift: 1st shift
Skills Required:
Experienced using micrometers and dial indicators for adherence to critical dimensional tolerances
Experienced with cylindrical parts and concepts such as Total Indicated Runout and Concentricity
High level of understanding in the handling of parts with critical surface finish requirements
Ability to tape and mask parts contained in work instructions
Inspect machined surface finishes and diagnose problems with cylindrical parts used in industrial manufacturing processes
Experience with finish polishing and/or balancing of cylindrical parts is a plus
Read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience in operation of overhead crane to safely move parts
Proven experience of mechanical aptitude
Education and Training:
Minimum Education: High school graduate or GED
Engineering or other technical certificate/degree a plus
Experience in a lean/5s environment preferred
