Full-time Painter/Construction Labor opening for a well-established construction company in Decatur, IL.
Job Description:
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces for paint using masking tape, chemical rinses, sand blasters and plastic tarps.
- Preparing the paints/coating for use.
- Using paint rollers and brushes to apply primers, coatings, finishing coats.
- Cleaning up the work site at the end of each day, including safely disposing of hazardous chemicals and waste.
- Maintaining work equipment and troubleshooting when necessary.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00AM-4:30PM
Qualifications:
- 6+ months of experience with industrial or automotive painting.
- Additional construction labor experience is a plus.
- Must be able to complete OSHA 10-Hour training before starting (paid for by company).
- Willing and able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces for extended periods of time.
- Physical, background and drug screening required.
This position has long term growth potential for candidates who are open to wearing different hats, and comfortable doing different types of construction labor.
