A manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Rancho Santa Margarita is searching for a Field Service Technician. We’re looking for a quality-focused team player that is willing to travel to customer sites to perform installation and repairs of all the company’s products. This is a direct hire position that pays $45K to $55K, based on experience. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Travel independently to customer sites to perform installation and repairs of the company’s products.
  • Travel may include commercial flights and hotel reservations
  • 75% Travel is required
  • Able to work through problems utilizing technical publications and internal resources
  • Must have good troubleshooting skills to determine root and be able to implement the proper repairs
  • Excellent communications skills verbal and written with internal and external customers
  • Must be able to work safely and report any instances to Human Resources and the Service Manager
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Observant and detailed oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills required
  • Able to lift to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
  • Understand and trouble shoot AC and DC circuits
  • Understand mechanical assemblies, pump systems and motor drives
  • Able to use a volt meter and basic hand tools
  • Must have a valid driver license and able to travel over night
  • Knowledge and understanding of CNC equipment
  • Understands and can interpret PLC ladder logic
  • High school diploma
  • Trade school training or related job experience is a plus.
