Medical Office Scheduler - Full-time / Part-time

We currently have 3 Medical Scheduler positions open, and they range from Direct Hire to Contract to Hire. All the positions are full-time, and we are looking for candidates who are looking for a full-time position.

Our Medical Scheduler is an individual who assists the staff and physician by scheduling patients for appropriate follow up appointments and necessary tests and procedures. The Scheduler functions as a member of the office health care team.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule follow up/return visits to our office for patients
• Obtain appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations, as needed
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures with the patient so the patient has a clear understanding of what to expect
• Calls patients to schedule procedures and give instructions over the phone with follow-up letter with instructions.

Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Two years of scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred
