Production Laborer - Food Manufacturer

Full time position located in Gridley for Food Manufacturer

MUST be available for Nights and Graveyard shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Production Laborer is under the direct supervision of the Assistant Production Manager. This position is responsible for preparing, inspecting, and packaging finished goods in accordance to the company’s quality and efficiency standards. These duties and tasks span throughout the Production dough area, sorting area, and packaging area. All duties and tasks are to be performed in a safe manner ensuring safety within the production facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Sorting Perform a final inspection of finished goods in accordance with the company’s quality standards in a safe and efficient manner

Safely transport baking racks of fully baked goods to designated sorting area

Inspect and sort all finished goods within designated timeframe distinguishing between burnt, under cooked, and satisfactory guidelines

Maintain a clean work area free of debris and product by minimizing the amount of product that falls onto the floor APV Area Loading trays into the depositors and onto the baking racks in a safe and efficient manner

Load baking trays onto assigned depositor according to company’s standards

Load baking trays into baking rack according to company’s standards

Safely transport baking racks of uncooked products to designated area in front of the ovens

Ensure a safe and clean work environment by washing and sanitizing the machines to remove any product residue, as needed Packaging Area Ensure finished goods are packaged safely and efficiently according to company standards

Place packaged product correctly onto conveyor to ensure efficiency

Palletize cases of finished product following the case count per pallet required

General

Ergonomically perform all tasks to ensure safety in compliance with GMP standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies

Adhere to required PPE standards in accordance with the tasks requirements

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

Perform other duties as assigned

Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill
