POSITION PURPOSE

The Sr. Analyst, Pricing Strategy will provide extensive analytical support for several key pricing initiatives and strategies such as Price Localization, KVI, Amazon Vulnerable and others. Sr. Analyst will perform multiple repeatable and one-time analyses, build repeatable processes and help build tools to support analyses, create presentations, and will solve business questions using their insights, analytics, and judgment. Sr. Analyst will work with cross functional partners, including merchandising, assortment planning, inventory planning, finance and others to ensure end to end thinking on strategy and execution. Sr. Analyst will also provide recommendations and find opportunities for the merchandising organization to advance their objectives by helping them understand their business, support product line reviews, test pricing strategies and define rules to maintain alignment to pricing strategies.

 MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

50% Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin. Utilize learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives
20% Conduct research to become subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis
10% Work across the organization and leverage cross functional teams to provide expert analytical support (i.e. domestic logistics or global supply chain costs
20% Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive effective business decisions

NATURE AND SCOPE
This position reports to Manager.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience: 4 years

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Statistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Finance or other quantitative subjects
Understanding of pricing and statistics
Prior Retail experience, pricing experience is a plus.
Innate intellectual curiosity
Advanced analytical skills
Proficient with Tableau, TIBCO Spotfire, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (i.e. SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
