Hours of Work:  1:30 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday thru Friday

POSITION PURPOSE
The Inventory Control Associate ensures inventory accuracy within the processing areas, system and process quality, as

well as vendor compliance. This role will build relationships with internal Suppliers/customers and functional groups at the

DC to drive quality within the DC and service stores.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 50% Audit assigned area as directed by the IC Manager. Partners with Operation Manager(s), Assistant Managers, and associates to resolve any issues related to quality (inventory accuracy and vendor compliance) within respective processing areas. Maintain error log report and detail any deficiencies found in assigned processing areas.

  • 30% Identify, analyze, and resolve all inventory control and processing issues with assigned areas. Conduct root cause analysis on all related issues with the guidance of supervisor and/or OM, document issues and make recommendations for improvement.

  • 15% Drives accuracy and awareness by training managers and associates on the warehouse management system.

  • 5% Assist in the disposition of freight diverted to the Problem Resolution Area as a result of inventory, vendor compliance, or systems issues.

NATURE AND SCOPE

This position reports to the CB DC Assistant Manager (IC/QA). This position has no Direct Reports.

Typical assignments are very specific.

Typically, guidance is available and prior permission is required before changing work methods.

Typically, refers to basic instructions when solving problems.

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be eighteen years of age

  • Must pass the Drug Test

  • Must pass the Background Check

  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

    EDUCATION REQUIRED
    The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED. 

    YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE - 1

    PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements including, but not limited to, using a 10-key or calculator, bending or squatting.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge of Manhattan WMOS

    Experience with MS Office Suite

    Knowledge of the warehouse operation
