Purpose

This position is responsible for supporting the Commercial outside sales teams with large commercial sales purchases. The person in this role will serve as a conduit between the sales person, client, merchandising, purchasing, logistics and finance teams. In addition, he/she will manage the large order process utilizing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), assist sales people with large order contracts, deposits, bids and field questions via Salesforce, emails and phone. They will present large order deals to the Commercial team members including the Director of Commercial, the Commercial Account manager and Store Support Center teams packaged for decisions and actions to be made quickly.

Essential Functions
  • Receive and process requests for large sales purchases from the Commercial sales team members.
  • Validate all needed items, answer any questions and present to the Commercial teams and clients for a decision and/or further action(s)
  • Communicate with the Commercial Sales team and clients to obtain additional information if needed prior to a final decision being made
  • Follow-up with the Commercial Sales team and clients on key dates to complete the sales and satisfy the commercial clients.
  • Work with the purchasing and inventory teams to procure product currently available or if a special purchase order (PO) is needed
  • Stay current on merchandise training, new products and product lines
  • Partner with the SSC logistics team to coordinate special delivery requests
  • Assist the Commercial Sales team with additional projects as needed
Job Requirements

Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Associate's degree preferred)
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company
  • Experience in commercial and large jobs, bid process, and contract jobs, a plus.
  • Experience with hard surface products a plus.
  • Experience working in a retail environment a plus
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level Excel)
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must pass pre-employment background check
