As a retail market floater with Wireless Lifestyle, you will step into a role that prepares you for new skills and experience. This entry level position will train you to provide exceptional customer service, build sales skills, and teach you how the operations of a store function with all associates playing a part – including you! This role will expose you to different locations and different associates throughout the company and you will be the main point of contact to float where your skills are needed throughout the market. This means, something new and exciting every day. As you build your skills, you will be ready to step into the Associate role with Wireless Lifestyle taking on the next steps in your career.

JOB PURPOSE:

The Retail Market Floater is responsible to be available for the market and travel to assist locations in need of additional staff or skills. This role will provide an outstanding retail experience to all customers coming into the location. The market floater will be able to provide information about products and services within the store and make suggestions to the fit the needs of the customer. Our market floaters will complete ongoing training that keeps them current on our products and also trains them for upcoming roles and opportunities within the company. While this position does not have sales goals, they will work closely with other associates in the store to ensure that operational tasks and duties are completed so sales can be met. This position is friendly, energetic, eager to learn, and ready to provide additional assistance within the market when needed.

ESSENTAIL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Greet incoming customers; establishing the customer experience upfront
  • Be available for immediate or advanced notice to provide staffing assistance to a retail location
  • Communicate openly with customers to determine their needs
  • Participate in regular outbound activities that promote new customer activity
  • Complete regular sales and operational store duties, not limited to cleaning, stocking, customer calls, counting inventory, tag changing, store layout changes
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Complete store and position trainings assigned
  • Maintain high customer service scores
  • Additional tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation to accommodate immediate or advance notice of presence
  • Flexible schedule of availability to support traditional retail hours that include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language
  • Basic mathematical skills; ability to use a calculator
  • Ability to use and operate basic functions of a computer
  • Great personality and professionalism
  • Ability to travel daily (travel usually up to 50%)
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time (typically 9 hours a day)
