Machine Operator - $13+ per hour - Full-time / Part-time

Quad/Graphics, a global leader in the commercial printing and direct marketing industry is seeking Machine Operators to work in our rapidly expanding East Coast Digital Print and Commingling Supercenter in Westampton, NJ.

Is work interfering with your social life?  Would you like to have a 4 day weekend as part of your normal schedule?  This opportunity allows you to work 3 consecutive 12 hour days, and be off 4 consecutive days each week as part of your normal schedule.  Day shift or night shift opportunities are available.

These positions are responsible for the set up and operation of Commingle mail sortation equipment and will be involved in training and directing other crew members, continuous clean up and housekeeping of the production area, as well as ensuring compliance with quality, safety and work rules. Some positions may also include operation of a forklift truck.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Set up and operate commingle mail sortation equipment.

Follow documented Standard Operating Procedures.

Verify that mail is sorting to the correct bin.

Ensure that the mail is placed in the correct tray.

Ensure that all mail placed in the trays is facing forward and upright in the tray.

Ensure bins are cleared of mail in a timely manner.

Ensure that jams are cleared in a timely manner.

Follow direction of Department Manager and/or Team Leads.

Perform basic maintenance of machines as required (belts, bins, etc.).

Assist other departments when assigned to do so.

Successful candidates will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a fast-paced production environment or print-related experience.

This position requires the ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously, the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, stand for long hours, use hands and wrists continuously in controlled movement, receive and follow instructions and use vision in order to identify defects, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

The ability to work 12 hour shifts (7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. or 7:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M. including some weekends, and some holidays), as well as overtime as needed is required.

Basic computer skills and effective communication skills are necessary. 

Preference will be given to those who have experience operating Direct Mail related equipment.

Ability to communicate effectively with Team Lead and Department Manager.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Outstanding attention to detail required.
